Teaching and books

Hello I am Peter Nodding.

The site is used mainly to watch teaching videos or to listen to sermons.  I also give information about a number of books I have written.

I was a Baptist Pastor for nearly 40 years and retired from full-time ministry in March 2016.

Before going into the ministry I worked for Cliff College in Derbyshire as an Evangelist and afterwards trained at St John’s College in Nottingham. Whilst at St John’s I became convinced that God was leading me into the Baptist ministry. It was a personal challenge as it was a strongly Anglican setting, and it meant leaving the Methodist Church.

My student placement from St John’s was at West Bridgford Baptist Church, Nottingham. On completion of the course the West Bridgford church called me to serve them as an Associate Pastor. After 12 years challenging and fruitful ministry I received a call to the Millmead Centre, Guildford and then to Purley Baptist Church in the Borough of Croydon.
My wife and I moved to Saffron Walden in Essex in retirement, where ministry has continued in supporting and serving our local church, mentoring a number of ministers, regular teaching and preaching and on the team of Field Placement Tutors at Spurgeon’s College.
